Aboriginal Subsistence Whaling Group Working Group meeting 2018

Information

The IWC is holding a meeting of the Aboriginal Subsistence Whaling Working Group (ASWWG) at the Inupiat Heritage Center, Barrow, Alaska, 10-13 April 2018

The group will complete its deliberations on the seven long-term ASW issues assigned by the Commission in the ASWWG’s original terms of reference. 

At the request of the Commission at IWC 66, it will also give further consideration to the report of the IWC Expert Workshop on Aboriginal Subsistence Whaling held in Maniitsoq, Greenland in 2015.

Accommodation

The Alaska Eskimo Whaling Commission (AEWC) has organized a  block of 50 rooms to accommodate invitees at the Top of the World Hotel in Barrow: http://www.tundratoursinc.com
