The Commission Meeting Reports have been published since 1950 and are comprised of three separate series:
Report of the Meeting of the International Whaling Commission (2014 – present)

Biennial: comprising the Chair’s Report of the Plenary and reports from each of the IWC’s sub-committees excluding the Scientific Committee which has published a separate report since 1999.
Annual Reports of the International Whaling Commission (1998 – 2012)

Annual: these reports evolved from a simple summary of activities and report of the Commission’s Annual Meeting to include an increasing amount of information from the Scientific Committee. A separate Scientific Committee Supplement was created in 1998 (see above).

The Journal contains original scientific papers on the conservation and management of whales, dolphins and porpoises.
An annual Supplement contains the report of IWC’s Scientific Committee which meets each Spring. The Supplement also contains reports from Scientific Committee workshops held in the year prior to that annual meeting.
A Special Issues Series publishes peer-reviewed papers on specialist topics.
